61132-2 - OpenStack Best Practices

Session Speakers
Session Description

OpenStack is the leading free and open-source cloud computing infrastructure-as-a-service platform and offers a rich set of features beyond traditional compute, storage and networking services. In addition, OpenStack is used both in private clouds and public clouds. In this session, we will cover solution designs for highly available deployments of OpenStack built on NetApp® storage systems. We will go through architectural considerations, technology choices and best practices for leveraging the capabilities of NetApp storage systems with OpenStack. OpenStack provides reliable (highly available), elastic (scalable), fast (self-service) and easy-to--use computing for end users. With infrastructure as a service (IaaS), OpenStack makes it easier to deploy instances and manage hardware resources. Applications and platforms running within an OpenStack infrastructure can also take advantage of its cost-effectiveness, efficiency, flexibility and security.
